STORY: A long line of forest trees, countless branches and leaves sway gently back and forth in the morning breeze. Scattered sounds of birds mingle with the rustling of the trees. Two duelists in the forest – determined they pick up their pistols. The almost synchronized steps of the two opponents pull them further and further apart, their faces, their bodies and the atmosphere around them become more and more charged with tension – both stop. At the same time, the duelists turn to face each other. They raise their pistols. Their hands tremble. Their limbs tremble. They stretch the weapons as far as possible away from their bodies. The tension is palpable. The trembling of the hands is transferred to the pistols. Suddenly, a deafening „SHOOT!“ breaks the silence. A pistol hangs from a trembling hand. The shot echoes among the fluttering sounds of birds. The young second stares in horror at the two duelists. Finally he looks down at himself: the smoking pistol hangs in his own hand….

STORY: A man on his sofa, in a hangover mood, and yet an inner determination speaks from him. In front of him on the couch glass table: pills and a bottle of whiskey. He reaches for the knife and grinds, smashes, chops the pills into powder – just then a loud agonizing noise drills its way down to him on the sofa from above. The loud drilling noises from the apartment above, however, pull him further and further out of his focus. The glass table in front of him vibrates and shakes. He screams and shouts. Finally, he has only one last goal: to calmly wipe the pill powder onto a piece of paper, and to let the pill powder trickle into the whiskey. And after that, to put the whiskey bottle to his lips, to close his eyes and raise it to drink…

The sound’s frequent occurrences the following days make the man increasingly paranoid, turning his whole life upside down. He’s starting to realize this is no ordinary sound.

Breakwater examines the necessary conditions for our protagonist to question what she has taken for granted.

The woman throws the last tire with her extreme use of force to the front. But now the incomprehensible. A bursting, terrifying one Noise comes from the clouds. Fascinated by the sound, the woman looks up. But then an extraordinary training device arrives. The sportswoman accepts the next challenge.

Legends like Bobby Byrd, George McCrae and Joss Stone have their say, as well as Hip Hop innovators like Pharcyde from Los Angeles, who have used Funk to create an entirely new genre, that is the most popular music today. They all recognize the greatness of Mr James Brown, the Godfather of Soul, who was a legend in his own lifetime.

STORY: New England in the late 1920ties. The two friends Randolph Carter and Joel Manton spend a sunny autumn afternoon on an old far off 17th century cemetery. An argument arises, concerning the horror stories written by Carter. Especially one story draws Manton`s sarcasm: The Unnamable… Encouraged by the atmosphere of the old burial ground Carter tells his friend about the origin of that novel. He claims it to be based on a more than 200 years old local legend. Manton listens with increasing fascination, while darkness descends on the cemetery. And suddenly both of them become part of the legend as well.
